Drugs in the 1960s

My research paper was about the influence of drugs on the 1960s.  I enjoyed doing this research paper because i learned many things that i did not know about drugs and even the 60s.  I had no idea the effects that LSD had on people until i did  my paper.  It said that it is the most frightening drug out there.  I did not know it was so highly promoted by prestigious people and basically everyone had tried it.  Also i did not know that marijuana started out only being used by jazz musicians.  I had thought that only the hippies were  using drugs, but really it was musicians who started promoting it and everyone else picked it up along the way. The way drugs were used in the 60s and leading into the 70s is very mind blowing and i can even imagine if how different life would be if it were like that today.
